Fees and Payment
To have our veterinarian evaluate your pet, a $100 initial exam and consultation fee will be required. If further diagnostic and treatment options are needed, our staff will provide you with an itemized estimate of these services prior to proceeding with your pet’s care.
Payment is due as services are rendered. After our doctor examines your pet, he/she will give you an estimate for any treatments or tests that are recommended. If your pet is being hospitalized, we require full payment of the estimate in advance. We accept all major credit cards and cash. We also offer Care Credit. Care Credit is an outside company that assists you in financing your pet’s medical bills. We do not accept checks.
You are welcome to visit with your hospitalized pet at any time, but we request that family members call us first to schedule a time for visitation. This will allow our staff time to prepare a place for you to visit peacefully with your pet, and also to inform you if an extended wait time for visitation is expected. However, advance notice is not necessary but it will help shorten your wait time.
Bradenton Veterinary Emergency has partnered with Vet Care Express (an animal ambulance service) for the transfer of your pet to your home or to your family veterinarian if you desire. This is an optional service we provide. You are welcome to transfer your pet on your own if you prefer.
If your pet needs to be transferred to your family veterinarian for further care there is no charge to you for the ambulance service. A verbal or written authorization is required for you to utilize this service. Our staff will discuss this further with you when the time arises.
We can also arrange for the ambulance to transfer your pet back to your home if needed. We will arrange the transfer for you with Vet Care Express.
